Your AI assistant can now apply for you
New
Apply with your own AI assistant. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Meta Muse and your assistant can search jobs, tailor your résumé and cover letter, and fill out applications as you instruct it. See how it works.
HitApply plugin for Claude. One install adds the HitApply connection plus skills to find jobs, evaluate a posting against your profile, tailor your documents and set up your profile from your résumé.
Auto mode in the extension. The autofill dock can now fill every page of an application, answer what your profile doesn't cover with AI, and stop at review so you're the one who submits.
Workday, start to finish. The extension now gets through Workday's sign-in and account pages and fills multi-page Workday applications through to review.
Meet Scout. A helper in the corner of every page: press Ctrl/⌘+J to get help, open the docs, or report a bug or idea with a screenshot attached.
Bring your own LaTeX design. Upload a résumé or cover letter
.texand HitApply turns it into a template you review once, then uses for every generated document.Edit documents next to the real PDF. Change a generated résumé or cover letter section by section, or ask the AI to rewrite it, with the compiled PDF beside you.
More templates. Two new résumé designs, Company First and Modern, with matching cover letters, plus Jake's Resume. The gallery now previews your own résumé in each design.
Your own files in the dock. Upload other PDFs and attach them from the autofill dock, alone or as an ordered package with your résumé and cover letter.
Saved searches and a Remote filter. Name and save Discover searches, and pick Remote in the location picker to see remote jobs open in the countries you choose.
Résumé-first onboarding. New accounts start with a résumé upload; HitApply drafts your job search from it, helps you pick templates and walks you through your first application.
Credits. AI usage now shows as credits in Settings, with a history of what each feature used.
Public docs. Step-by-step guides for connecting an assistant, templates and the extension, at hitapply.app/docs.
Passwords and account deletion. Set, reset or change your password, and delete your account and all its data from Settings.
Improved
Résumés that fit the page. Generation now measures each template's page first and writes to fit it in one pass. Dense profiles get trimmed instead of failing, and multi-profile résumés no longer repeat the same project.
Faster AI answers in autofill. AI answers come back much sooner, and each page's open questions now go out in one AI call instead of one per question.
One card per job. The same job listed on several sites, such as Greenhouse career pages, Amazon or TalentBrew, now shows as one Discover card and one notification.
Notifications only for new jobs. Discord digests no longer re-ping a job you've already seen when its posting is edited or merged with another source.
Sharper keyword search. Keywords now match job titles and companies rather than descriptions, where "software intern" could match a vet receptionist.
Better location matching. Locations now resolve worldwide, and "Sunnyvale, CA" reads as California instead of Canada.
More job sources. Discover now pulls from more job boards and career sites, and fills in descriptions that used to be missing.
Autofill on Ashby and Lever. Both now fill fully, with real question labels, location and résumé upload. A full Auto run on an Ashby posting now fills every field.
Quicker assistant connections. Your assistant gets everything it needs to apply in one request instead of several, with smaller responses, so it works faster and spends fewer tokens.
A calmer app. Refreshed light mode, a redesigned Apply Queue, Profile tabs, a regrouped Settings page and an encouraging momentum card on the Dashboard.
A leaner job database. The shared job pool is now about two-thirds smaller, after dropping search data that nothing used anymore.
Fixed
Preview after generation. The editor's preview now loads once generation finishes, where it stayed blank.
Résumés with special symbols. Profiles containing symbols like ∼ or ≥ now compile, where every generated document failed.
Greenhouse uploads kept. Attached résumés and cover letters now stay attached on Greenhouse, where filling the next field could silently drop them.
Deleted jobs come back. Deleting a queued application now returns its job to Discover, where it stayed hidden as already queued.
No jobs you've already queued. A job queued from its own careers site no longer shows up again in Discover.
Extension sign-in. The extension popup now switches to Sign in as soon as your session ends, where it showed an empty page.
Theme follows your system. With the theme set to System, switching your OS between light and dark now updates HitApply right away, where it needed a reload.
Longer saved searches. Saved searches can now hold up to 500 characters of keywords, and a failed save says why.
Deleting the Default profile. The starter Default profile can now be deleted once another profile is primary.
Scout when the AI is busy. Scout now keeps answering when the AI service is busy, where it stopped responding.
Dashboard after onboarding. The Dashboard now loads after you pick your first job in onboarding, where it could stay stuck loading.
