Before you start
- A HitApply account. Request beta access if you don't have one.
- Your current résumé, as a PDF or Word file.
When you sign up, HitApply asks for your résumé and turns it into your profile: your experience, education and skills. Everything it writes later comes from there, so nothing is made up.
Pick your templates
Templates decide how your résumé and cover letter look.
- Open Resume in the sidebar and press Add template.
- Do the same under Cover Letter.
- The one marked Currently using is used for every new document. You can switch any time.
More: How templates work.
Find jobs and queue them
- Open Discover and search for the roles you want.
- Press Queue on a job. HitApply tailors your résumé and cover letter to it in about a minute.
- Save the search, so new matches are easy to check every day.

Answer the usual application questions
Application forms ask things a résumé doesn't: work authorization, location, pay, links. Open Profile › Application answers and press Finish in 2 minutes. Anything you leave blank, you answer on each form yourself.

Install the browser extension
The extension fills in application forms for you and saves jobs from LinkedIn and Indeed. It takes about two minutes, once. Install the extension.
Apply from the Apply Queue
Open the Apply Queue. Each card is a job whose documents are ready. Press Hit apply: the job posting opens and the extension fills in the form with your tailored résumé. Check every field, then submit it yourself.

Let an AI assistant help (optional)
If you already use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Meta Muse, connect it to HitApply and ask it to find jobs or queue them for you. Connect an assistant.
Track and follow up
The Dashboard shows what needs you: jobs ready to apply to, and applications that have gone quiet. Update each one's status as you hear back.
