Connect an AI assistant

Claude

Add HitApply to Claude so you can search jobs, write tailored documents and track applications from any Claude chat.

Requirements

  • A Claude account. The Free plan allows one custom connector. Pro and Max allow more.
  • On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner or admin may need to add the connector for you.
  • About 2 minutes.

Last checked October 2026. Claude's menus change from time to time. If a step looks different, see Anthropic's guide to custom connectors.

Connect HitApply

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Press + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it HitApply and paste this address:
https://api.hitapply.app/mcp
  1. Leave Advanced settings (OAuth Client ID and Secret) empty, then press Add.

  1. Press Connect next to HitApply. Claude opens HitApply in a new tab.
  2. Sign in to HitApply if asked, check the list of permissions, and press Allow access.

You're back in Claude, and HitApply shows as connected.

Use it in a chat

Start a new chat and ask for something HitApply can do. Claude uses the connector when it needs to. If it doesn't, open the + menu in the message box, choose Connectors, and make sure HitApply is switched on.

Claude Code and Cowork

Prefer Claude Code or Cowork? Install the HitApply plugin. It bundles the connection with ready-made skills for finding, evaluating, tailoring and applying:

/plugin marketplace add lecegues/hitapply-plugin
/plugin install hitapply@hitapply

Then run /mcp, choose hitapply, and approve the connection in HitApply.
